Dr. Lynn Hartfield:

Dr. Lynn Hartfield:

Dr. Lynn Marie Hartfield proudly graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 1998.  On campus at MSU during freshman welcome week, she met her close friend and future Humane Society of Macomb colleague, Dr. Colleen Collins.  Together they navigated the often-challenging journey through undergraduate studies and the rigorous four-year veterinary program.

In January 2004, Dr. Hartfield eagerly joined Drs. Collins and Beach at our veterinary clinic.  Hartfield feels the friendship, trust, and respect amongst the trio has been a tremendous blessing and reason for her sincere job satisfaction.  Dr. Hartfield has been continually inspired by the skill, dedication, and compassion of her fellow clinic and shelter staff coworkers.  She also adores the loyal clientele, together with their furry companions, and the down-to-earth feel of life at the clinic.

Dr. Hartfield lives in Sterling Heights with her long-time love, her husband Fernando, a true Spanish gentleman and fishing fanatic.  They are blessed with two adorable and talented children, Carmen Jean and Clara Beatríz.  They also have an impossibly gentle couch potato collie dog named Marvel.

In her leisure time she enjoys jogging, bike riding, roller skating, reading biographies, walking and talking with friends and family (and Marvel too), road trips, traveling to Spain, and boating on Lake St. Clair.

She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.  Dr. Hartfield also earned her certificate of completion in Fear Free Shelter Medicine.
